of robust bulbous ovoid form with concentric raised oval reserves, fitted at the shoulders with square section massive outward flaring pierced  “D” strap handles, surmounted by conforming domed tapering fluted lid with fully realized phoenix finial, tapering to round bottom fitted with outward scrolling anthropomorphic tripod feet ending in paw feet; the whole enriched with inlaid silver swirling patterns, floral motifs, the lid rim with Chinese characters, retaining bronze verdigris and archeological patinationred wax seal on the shoulders suggests a possible past authentication to a significant collection
