the square section top with lipped edge over high waisted openwork foliate inset panels and joined by a shaped rounded apron, resting on four tapering rectangular section cabriole legs ending in scroll feet, all on low compound moulded base with inset waist; the whole enriched with inlaid nacreous decoration depicting scholars gathering in a fenced garden pavilion, enclosed within diapered border, the base with scholar with fan sitting in similar garden landscape, the legs and apron with foliate and floral decoration with diapered corners
